Overview:

Payal Dey, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in Humanities and Liberal Arts at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bodh Gaya. Before joining IIM Bodh Gaya, she worked as a public policy and energy specialist and was awarded the Clean EDGE Asia Fellowship for 2022-23. She has worked with UPES Dehradun as an Assistant Professor, managing the ‘Public Policy Group’ inviting experts, undertaking research, and facilitating student internships on pressing policy issues. Payal completed her Ph.D. titled ‘Viability of Business Models for Rural Electrification in India – A Multi-Method Study’ from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi with a Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research fellowship in public policy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She has over 12 years of professional experience with government agencies, multilateral institutions, think tanks, etc. Link to her website (in progress).
