In the year 2020-21, three TEQIP programs were conducted for the faculty members of BIT Sindri.
TEQIP 4 (Research Methods)
The first program in this series was on research methods, which was conducted from 18th Jan 2021 to 23rd Jan 2021. The program was divided into various themes topics on research methods, from problem identification, literature review, mathematical modelling, data analytics, tools and software for research, qualitative research, text mining, report writing and navigating the PhD life. The aim was to sensitize participants on the growing need for conducting high impact research, identify the tools and techniques and navigating professional and personal challenges in the life of an academician. The Program was inaugurated by Dr. Vinita S. Sahay, Director of Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya and Dr. D.K. Singh, Director BIT Sindri.
TEQIP 5 (Mindful Leadership)
The second program in this series was on mindful leadership, conducted from 1st February 2021 to 5th February 2021. The Program for the faculty was divided into various themes ranging from emotional intelligence, healthy work-life balance, mindful Leadership, going through changes, and win-win strategies. After the last session of the Program, Director BIT Sindri and Director IIM Bodh Gaya addressed the participants and stressed working on collaborative projects. The Program was ended with a valedictory session and a vote of thanks by the Program Directors.
TEQIP 6 (Communication Excellence)
Third program in this series was on communication excellence, conducted from 25th February 2021 to 4th March 2021. The program was aimed at creating a platform for mutual learning and knowledge sharing. Its objective was to explore the principles of communication and their application in the concurrent methods of instruction. The team of resource persons from IIM Bodh Gaya put together a deliberate sequence of sessions around all vital aspects of communication in teaching such as persuasion, argumentation, mentoring, negotiation, tools of instruction, assessment and students’ engagement in online classrooms, report writing, etc. These sessions were augmented by interactive exercises and activities to ensure that the knowledge does not just remain on the papers. After the last session of the program, Director BIT Sindri and Director IIM Bodh Gaya addressed the participants and stressed on creating more collaborative projects. The program ended with program report and vote of thanks by the Program Directors
