Overview:

Tamal Samanta is an Assistant Professor in the Marketing area at the Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya. He has completed his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and MBA from Indian Institute of Management Nagpur. In his doctoral thesis, he explored the resilience of small unorganised retailers in the context of emerging economies. His research interest lies in small unorganised retailing, bottom of the pyramid marketing (BoP) and subsistence marketplaces.
