Centre for Social Impact
The Centre for Social Impact at IIM Bodh Gaya embodies the institute’s commitment to empowering marginalized communities and driving inclusive development. By fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems, the Centre aims to bridge socio-economic disparities and promote equality in alignment with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s vision of an inclusive India.
As a leading management institute, IIM Bodh Gaya strives to create socially conscious leaders who contribute to nation-building. The Centre for Social Impact builds on this mission by equipping entrepreneurs from SC-ST communities and underprivileged backgrounds with the skills, resources, and networks necessary to succeed.
Through this initiative, IIM Bodh Gaya is dedicated to transforming lives by empowering individuals to transition from unemployment to self-employment. By driving inclusion, the institute provides crucial support to women and marginalized groups, enabling their entry into the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Additionally, it plays a pivotal role in promoting economic upliftment by focusing on skill-building and nurturing small businesses for sustainable growth. These efforts collectively contribute to a more equitable and prosperous society.
Entrepreneurship serves as a powerful driver of economic growth and social equity. By empowering SC-ST entrepreneurs, the Centre for Social Impact not only transforms individual lives but also significantly impacts the nation. It contributes to the development of underserved regions, fostering inclusive progress and balanced regional growth. Furthermore, it encourages job creation and innovation, providing a pathway for sustainable economic opportunities. Strengthening the MSME sector—a critical pillar of India’s economy—the Centre is vital in enhancing the nation’s overall economic resilience and capacity. Furthermore, the programs offered by the Centre for Social Impact, in collaboration with DICCI, exemplify a holistic approach to nurturing talent and fostering inclusive growth.
