The Maiden Annual Entrepreneurship Summit of IIM Bodh Gaya, YES 2020 began on an auspicious note with a tree plantation drive on 24th January 2020.
The keynote address by Mr.Arijit Bhattacharyya and the first panel discussion of the day explored the nuances of entrepreneurship and discussed on the topic “Beyond VC: Finding the right Startup and funding model”. The panelists were Mr. Arijit Bhattacharyya, Mr. Ravi Ranjan, Mr. Abhishek Kumar Gupta, Mr. Gaurav Gupta and Prof. Tanmoy Kundu acted as moderator.
Any E-Summit is incomplete if it does not inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs and inspire innovation. Startup Hunt’ competition has garnered more than 12,000 view on the D2C platform, close to 500 registrations and around 90 startup ideas and business plans from across India.
This came down to 7 finalists pitching infront of the panel of highly qualified panel of experts who are intricately associated with the start-up scene of India. Winners of the start-up hunt competition was team DIME. NABARD award for best start-up in rural and agri-tech sector was also awarded to team DIME.
The second day of YES 2020 began with the same level of enthusiasm as the first. The Key note address was delivered by Dr. Pankaj Kumar. He spoke about “Tata Group’s contribution to India’s emerging entrepreneurship ecosystem”. Next the final panel of the event, moderated by Director, Dr. Vinita Sahay discussed on “Changing Scenario in the Indian Startup ecosystem”. The learned panelists – Major Vandana Sharma, Dr. Dhirendra Kumar, Mr Abhishek Kumar and Mr Ritu Kant Ojha shared experiences from their entrepreneurial journey and enlightened the students.
The final event of YES 2020 was CEO of the Day for the students of IIM Bodh Gaya. After an intense round of Group Discussion, Somnath Sinha was crowned CEO of the Day by the panel. The event concluded with the Director felicitating the delegates with mementos.
