Blood donation drive at IIMBG

On 2nd November, Pragati, the CSR Committee of Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya, turned Dhanvantri into a hub of Compassion & Community spirit with a blood donation camp that united faculty, students and non-faculty members.

It was an honor that the camp was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Vinita S. Sahay, Director, IIM Bodh Gaya, whose visit motivated and inspired both volunteers and donors. Mr. Suresh Chandra Thakur, the Chief Administrative Officer, also came and extended his support, appreciating the team ethos of the Institute community.

A dedicated team from Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital (ANMCH), Gaya, led by Dr. Laldev Kumar and Dr. Digamberkumar Singh, along with six other seasoned medical professionals, ensured that the entire process of blood donation was smooth, safe and comfortable for all participants. From safety to refreshments, the team made sure that the environment was cheerful and light.

Students gave emotional testimonials and they said the day was uplifting, humbling and empowering. To lots of them it was their first blood donation and surely not the last.

The event stands as a testament to IIM Bodh Gaya’s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, aligning with its vision of nurturing socially conscious and compassionate leaders. Through such initiatives, the institute continues to inspire society toward empathy, service, and collective well-being.
