IIM Bodh Gaya started the industry-specific 2-year full-time MBA-Hospital & Healthcare Management (MBA-HHM) in 2023 and the first batch graduated in 2025. The uniqueness of the MBA (HHM) programme lies in its focus on providing the participants with the exposure to different sectors of the healthcare industry such as large corporate hospitals, public health, health insurance, pharmaceuticals, med tech & medical devices, digital health, and healthcare consulting. Med Tech and Medical Devices are among the strongly focused domains of this programme.
The MBA(HHM) programme aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry practice by designing an industry-integrated and industry-driven curriculum. As a step towards achieving this mission, IIM Bodh Gaya has signed an MoU with AGD Biomedicals, which is a reputed medical equipment manufacturer. According to Dr. Vinita Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya and Dr. Rajesh M. Patel, CEO of AGD Biomedicals this MoU is very strategic and futuristic in nature that creates a win-win arrangement and opens up a new chapter in the industry-academia collaboration.
Dr. Swapnarag Swain, Chairperson of the MBA(HHM) programme, IIM Bodh Gaya highlighted the most significant scope of this MoU is that AGD Biomedicals will design, deliver, and evaluate the course on “Dynamics of Medical Devices & Equipment Business” as a part of the MBA(HHM) curriculum. This will help build the knowledge and skills of the students aiming to make their career in the fast-growing Med-Tech and Medical Devices industry. Further, based on the performance of the students in the course, AGD Biomedicals will provide opportunities for summer internships and final placements.
