MDC, under him, was responsible for anchoring the Business Leader Program (BLP), wherein the best-in-class professionals are selected from executives with 15 years of experience after a rigorous selection process. 20 to 25 Hi Pos are selected from nearly 200 applicants.  These executives underwent an 18-month rigorous program with 4 weeks in IIM Ahmedabad. The budget for BLP to train 25 Hi Potentials was Rs 2 crores. The BLP program had been in existence for the last 20 years and had provided talent to the group for nearly two decades.
