In the journey of imparting quality education in the field of management, IIM Bodh Gaya has introduced a five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) for the Class XII pass outs. It has always valued and promoted diversity and inclusion in every aspect, and hence the IPM programme offered is open to students from varied domains, including liberal arts. With an early induction to the programme and a rigorous curriculum, the institute aims to prepare the candidates from a foundation level to take up leadership positions in corporates/government organizations.
Dr. Shri Subhas Sarkar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Education, Govt. of India, inaugurated the first-ever batch of Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya. Being from East India himself, Dr. Sarkar mentioned how this programme is the first of its kind in eastern India and highlighted how it could be a boon for students belonging to diverse backgrounds. With over 30 years of experience in policy making, medicine, and teaching, Dr. Sarkar highlighted how diverse minds could promote mutual growth. He discussed the brilliant structure of the Integrated Programme in Management and elaborated on how it aligns with the National Education Policy. The three-day Orientation Programme for 2021-26 batch started on 5th October, and day 1 of the event saw several eminent personalities like Mr. Sandeep Goshe, Ex-Director NISM, BOG member IIM Bodh Gaya, Dr.Vinita Sahay, Director, IIM Bodh Gaya, and Dr. Raveesh Krishnankutty, Chairperson, IPM who graced the event. Dr. Sahay spoke of the greater responsibility that the institute and students have towards each other and how as one of the stellar brands in the realm of higher education, IIMs are living up to its name. In his address to the batch, Mr. Sandeep Goshe, Ex-Director NISM, BOG member IIM Bodh Gaya, said how IPM is a blessing for students to become whatever they want. He also mentioned, “learning is a constant process” and asked the students to make every effort to acquire new skills and deliver to the people’s expectations.
