IIM Bodh Gaya, in association with, Envision, the Entrepreneurship Cell of the institute organized its maiden Entrepreneurship Summit, YES 2020. The title sponsor of the event, NABARD, with Road Express as logistics partner, Mwash as care partner and other sponsors LWT, Instade, 100X and Dare2Compete played a major role in successfully organizing the event.
The first day of the summit comprised of a key-note session by Arijit Bhattacharya, CEO & Founder, Virtual Infocomm; a panel discussion between the panelists Arijit Bhattacharya, Ravi Ranjan, Founder & CEO, Starting Up with Ravi Ranjan, Gaurav Gupta, CMD, Mwash and Abhishek Kumar Gupta, Founder, Next Big Brand with Dr. Tanmoy Kundu, Assistant Professor, IIM Bodh Gaya as moderator. The event commenced with Dr. Vinita Sahay, Director, IIM Bodh Gaya welcoming the guests. During the key-note session, Mr. Bhattacharya talked about the obstacles faced by budding entrepreneurs of the country and raised the question about what India was lacking – money, innovation or something else. The panelists of the first panel then took the stage. They deliberated on the topic “Beyond Venture Capitalists: Finding the Right Start-up and Funding Model”. The panel observed that venture capital is generally not the beginning or the end of a start-ups journey, and hence, no one should start their own venture with the sole motive of getting funded.
This was followed by a Start-Up Hunt – a B-plan competition, with teams participating from various esteemed colleges from across the country. Team DIME from NIT Suratkal won the contest.
The second day of the event was kicked off with a key-note session by Dr. Pankaj Kumar, Head – Training, Capability Development, HRM at Tata Steel and a panel-discussion with panelists Dr. Dhirendra Kumar, GM, NABARD, Major Vandana Sharma, LinkedIn Top Voice 2019 and founder People Consulting, Ritu Kant Ojha, Author and Founder, WIYLD, Abhishek Kumar, General Secretary, Bihar Entrepreneurs Association with moderator Dr. Vinita Sahay.
