Overview:

Dr. Gupteswar Patel is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya. He holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, where his dissertation focused on the factors affecting environmental degradation in BRICS economies. His research interests lie in energy economics, environmental economics, and ecological macroeconomics. Dr. Patel has a diverse teaching portfolio, including courses such as Microeconomics, International Economics, Introduction to Indian Economy, and Managerial Economics at IIM Bodh Gaya. Previously, he taught Strategic Financial Management, Financial Management, Indian Financial System, and Global Business at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. Dr. Patel has research publications in top-tier journals on the impact of energy transitions on carbon inequality, the role of green energy and productivity in environmental sustainability, and the effects of income inequality on renewable energy demand. His research has been featured in high-impact journals like Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Energy Policy, Resources Policy, and Energy Economics.
