Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the way organisations create value, governments design and deliver public policy, and service institutions respond to citizens, customers and communities. Advances in Generative AI, Large Language Models, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Predictive Analytics are creating new possibilities across business, government, public policy, services and wider societal applications.
The conference will examine AI through four interconnected perspectives: AI concepts and emerging technologies; AI applications and adoption; AI governance and responsible use; and AI-driven organisational, economic and societal impact. This broad framework recognises that the value of AI depends not only on technological capability, but also on how effectively, responsibly and inclusively it is adopted and integrated into organisations and public systems.
In business and industry, AI is reshaping decision-making, operations, supply chains, marketing, finance, human resources, innovation, entrepreneurship, customer experience and the future of work. In government and public policy, AI can support evidence-based policymaking, public administration, citizen services, welfare delivery, regulatory innovation and intelligent governance. In the services segment, AI is creating new opportunities in healthcare, education, banking, insurance, tourism, hospitality, transportation, logistics and professional services.
The conference will bring together academicians, policymakers, government officials, industry leaders, service-sector professionals, technology practitioners, entrepreneurs, start-ups, researchers and students from India and abroad. It will provide an interdisciplinary platform for discussing emerging AI developments, sharing research and applications, examining adoption challenges, and developing responsible pathways for AI-enabled transformation.
India's vision of Viksit Bharat provides an important national context for exploring how AI can contribute to productivity, innovation, inclusion, sustainable development and citizen-centric growth. Bihar provides a complementary real-world context for examining AI applications in governance, development and public services. The conference will connect global AI knowledge with national priorities, state-level challenges, organisational needs and field-level opportunities.
A distinctive feature will be the interface among Government, Academia, Industry and the emerging AI innovation ecosystem. The conference will encourage research collaborations, practical applications, policy dialogue, capacity building, entrepreneurship and pilot initiatives that can translate AI knowledge into measurable impact.
Vision
To create an international platform for advancing responsible, inclusive and sustainable Artificial Intelligence, while exploring how AI can accelerate India's journey towards Viksit Bharat and contribute to transformative governance and development in Bihar.
“From Artificial Intelligence to Impact: Harnessing AI for a Viksit, Inclusive and Sustainable Bharat.”

Nearby attraction
The conference at IIM Bodh Gaya provides delegates with an exceptional opportunity to experience one of India's most significant centres of spirituality, heritage, culture and knowledge. Located in the historic Magadh region of Bihar, Bodh Gaya and its surrounding destinations offer a unique blend of Buddhist heritage, ancient scholarship, architectural landmarks and cultural traditions.
The Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the foremost landmark of Bodh
Gaya, is associated with the enlightenment of Gautama Buddha. Delegates can also explore the Bodhi Tree, the 80-Foot Great Buddha Statue, the Thai Monastery, the Royal Bhutanese Monastery, the Chinese Temple, and the Tibetan Monastery, reflecting the international character of Bodh Gaya and its enduring importance as a global Buddhist destination.
A visit to Rajgir, an ancient city of Magadh, offers delegates an opportunity to explore its rich historical and Buddhist heritage. Important attractions include Vishwa Shanti Stupa, Griddhakuta Hill, Venu Vana and the ancient ruins associated with the city. Rajgir is also renowned for its scenic landscape and its association with the life and teachings of Gautama Buddha.
The nearby Nalanda provides an equally significant academic and historical dimension to the conference experience. The Nalanda Mahavihara Archaeological Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, represents one of the world's great ancient centres of learning and intellectual exchange. The ruins of the ancient university, together with the Nalanda Archaeological Museum, provide visitors with an insight into India's long tradition of scholarship, research and international knowledge exchange.
Together, Bodh Gaya, Rajgir and Nalanda form a remarkable heritage and knowledge circuit. For international delegates, this provides an opportunity to connect the contemporary pursuit of knowledge and innovation at IIM Bodh Gaya with the region's extraordinary legacy of learning, philosophy, spirituality and cross-cultural exchange.
The Book of Abstracts will be made available after the conference proceedings are compiled.
Hands-on Workshop on AI-Powered Application Development
As a capacity-building component of the conference, a hands-on workshop will be organised on AI-assisted web and application development. The workshop will introduce participants to emerging AI coding tools and demonstrate how Generative AI can assist in application design, code generation, debugging, testing and rapid prototyping. Using contemporary AI-assisted development platforms such as Codex and other leading coding assistants, participants will gain practical exposure to developing functional web and mobile applications through natural-language-driven development. The workshop will particularly focus on enabling students, researchers, government professionals and other participants to translate ideas and real-world problems into working digital prototypes.
Keynote Addresses and Distinguished Speakers
The conference will feature keynote addresses and invited talks by distinguished leaders from Government, Industry and Academia. Senior government officials and policymakers will provide perspectives on AI-enabled governance, public service delivery, and development priorities; technology and industry leaders will share insights into emerging AI technologies, innovation, and real-world implementation; and eminent academicians and researchers will present advances in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Intelligent Systems. These sessions will facilitate dialogue across policy, research and practice and strengthen Government–Industry–Academia collaboration.
Hackathon
The AI Governance Hackathon can be positioned as a flagship experiential component of the International Conference on AI Governance, Adoption and Responsible Innovation. The hackathon would provide a platform for students, researchers, industry professionals, start-ups, and technology enthusiasts to translate emerging ideas in AI governance into practical solutions. Participants could work in multidisciplinary teams on real-world challenges related to responsible AI, AI risk and compliance, transparency, privacy, public-sector applications, sustainability, and ethical AI adoption.
The hackathon could follow a 24-hour challenge format, beginning with the release of problem statements and expert mentoring, then moving to ideation, prototype development, testing, and final demonstrations. Teams would present their solutions to a panel of academic, industry, technology, and policy experts. Evaluation could focus on innovation, societal impact, technical feasibility, responsible AI principles, scalability, and implementation potential. Awards such as Best Responsible AI Solution, Best Industry Application, Best Public-Sector Solution, and Best Student Innovation could recognise outstanding contributions.
Integrating the hackathon with the conference would create a Research–Policy–Industry–Innovation ecosystem. While the conference would facilitate scholarly and policy dialogue, the hackathon would encourage participants to convert these discussions into tangible prototypes and implementable solutions. This combination would strengthen the conference's practical orientation and provide participants with an opportunity to engage directly with the emerging challenges and opportunities of responsible AI adoption.
Three awards will be presented to recognise outstanding research contributions:
• First Prize: INR 20,000
• Second Prize: INR 15,000
• Third Prize: INR 10,000
Besides, there will be a best paper award for the Research Scholar worth INR 20,000.
