IIM Bodh Gaya started the industry-specific 2-year full-time MBA-Hospital & Healthcare Management (MBA-HHM) in 2023. The MBA (HHM) programme is designed in a way that it provides a holistic appreciation of the entire healthcare industry including large corporate hospitals, public health, health insurance, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, digital health, and healthcare consulting.
As the institute aims to make the MBA (HHM) programme highly industry relevant, IIM Bodh Gaya has signed an MoU with Fortis Healthcare in the presence of Dr. Vinita Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya and Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Managing Director & CEO of Fortis Healthcare, and Mr. Ranjan Pandey, CHRO Fortis Healthcare. Dr. Swapnarag Swain, Chairperson of the MBA(HHM) programme, IIM Bodh Gaya elaborated the three-fold scope of this MoU.
Under this MoU, Fortis Healthcare will help strengthen the courses related to managing hospital business as a part of the MBA(HHM) programme. Fortis Healthcare will also be offering summer internships and final placements to the students of IIM Bodh Gaya enrolled in the MBA (HHM) programme at its hospital and healthcare facilities across India and abroad. IIM Bodh Gaya and Fortis will be actively collaborating to curate training programs and organize joint events such as Healthcare Management conclaves, round table discussions, seminars, workshops, and conferences aiming to foster knowledge-sharing, innovation and discussions on pertinent issues in the hospital and healthcare management domain.
This collaboration is very strategic and futuristic in nature that opens up new avenues in the realm of healthcare management education in India. As the institute is committed to create academic excellence and social impact, this MoU between two key organizations in their respective domains will play a significant role.
