CDC – Career Development Cell

The primary objective of the Career Development Cell (aka the Placement Cell, IIM Bodh Gaya) is interacting with the corporate world, building and fostering lasting relationships with recruiters, and inviting corporate to the campus for recruitments, for Summer Internships and Final Placements. CDC serves as the bridge between the industry and the institute, facilitates the presence of industry leaders on the campus, and strengthens the corporate relations with the institute. It has a Leadership Talk Series named ABHIGYA, wherein business leaders from various industries and domains share their words of Wisdom and Expertise. Students learn from their valuable experiences in the past and absorb their guidance for future challenges. Our student body consists of people with multidimensional backgrounds, equipped with requisite skill sets that match industry expectations.

Hostel and Mess committee

Hostel and Mess committee

The Hostel and Mess committee is responsible for the smooth functioning of the hostel and mess facilities at IIM Bodh Gaya. It is a student-run body that constitutes members from both 1st and 2nd-year students and is responsible for managing the food and hostel infrastructure in the institute. It strives to improve various aspects related to food and hostel issues at the earliest. Owing to a wide range of people, the menu is prepared such that the cuisine preference of all students is taken care of. The committee is responsible for helping other clubs in all food and lodging-related activities in their events.

International Relations Committee

International Relations Committee

The International Relations Committee of IIM Bodh Gaya aims to create a gateway for international outreach and global exposure. The committee works on multiple facades of global collaboration to facilitate global expertise by exchanging faculty, students, international guest lectures, collaboration on research papers, etc. The IRC has successfully partnered with 18 prestigious international institutes, currently the highest amongst the budding IIMs. The collaborations are for student exchange, faculty mobility, and research with business schools and universities located in France, Russia, Mexico, Greece, Venezuela, South Korea, Italy, etc. Some of these are triple crowned, whereas most are AACSB accredited institutions. IRC intends to amplify the academic rigor and cultural sagacity at IIM BG through its various functions.

Envision Cell

Envision, Centre for Leadership & Entrepreneurship Development (E-cell)

Envision, Centre for Leadership & Entrepreneurship Development (E-cell), IIM Bodh Gaya is a non-profit student organization. It aims at manifesting the entrepreneurial spirit of the young students and local community with a vision to promote entrepreneurship. Envision targets to help the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country by enabling interaction between its major stakeholders viz. students, entrepreneurs, mentors, angel investors, venture capital firms, and corporate, and provide necessary resources such as collaboration, sponsorship, seed funding, mentoring, consultancy and networking. As one of the official student bodies at IIM Bodh Gaya, it also enhances the industry exposure of the students by inviting eminent personalities with the likes of Founders, Co-founders, CEOs for guest talks and sharing ideas about the latest developments in their respective expertise. It aims to set up mutually beneficial strategic partnerships with organizations looking for a long-term relationship with a growing educational institution like ours. It also helps students inculcate necessary people, time, and event management skills across the various start-up and corporate competitions, national and international events spread across the year.

Alumni Relations Committee

Alumni Relations Committee

The Alumni Relations Committee aims to foster and maintain a life-long, mutually beneficial relationship between the Alumni and the Institute. The committee strives to develop and strengthen ties between the alumni and the Institute by providing various benefits, including networking opportunities, events and lectures, career services, and the chance to connect with and inspire students. The Alumni Relations Committee supports alumni programs and services and facilitates communication with the alumni, rendering them an opportunity to connect with their alma mater. The committee provides a means to facilitate inputs from distinguished alumni to further the accomplishments of the institute. The committee also coordinates alumni interaction sessions for the current batch of students from time to time on a variety of topics through its Alumnus Talks series. Furthermore, the committee hosts several events throughout the year, ranging from annual alumni meets, Management Unplugged series, and Alumni Relations Panel (ArPan). The Alumni Relations Committee also undertakes year-long engagement and complements other committees by helping them leverage a strong Alumni foundation.

Admissions Committee

Admissions Committee

Admissions Committee of IIM Bodhgaya is the face of the institute and acts as a facilitator between MBA aspirants and the college administration. The committee ensures a seamless onboarding process for the incoming batch by addressing all the queries and issues of candidates and stays in touch with them right after the CAT results are declared. Besides this being the primary duty of the committee, the team took the initiative of launching a CAT Prep video series which was the maiden cat preparation guide by any IIM. It also grooms the candidates through mentorship programs dedicated to cracking the WAT PI tests. The flagship event of AdCom is the Symposium, where aspirants are given a glimpse of life at IIM Bodh Gaya, with an opportunity to interact with the seniors and alumni and solve all queries related to their upcoming B-school journey.

The Sports Committee at IIM, Bodh Gaya, aims to provide the best possible sports environment by encouraging students towards games and sports as well as providing various platforms and opportunities to showcase their mettle in the area of student’s interest. It tries to build the culture of competing yet cooperating, excelling yet encouraging, and outplaying yet applauding when it comes across good talent.

Cultural Committee

Cultural Committee

The Cultural Committee aims at promoting cultural diversity and ethnicity by nurturing the students’ inner talents. It tries to bring students together to enhance their artistic and managerial skills by providing them a platform to showcase their talents. It organizes various cultural activities and events across the year, be it National festivals, regional or fun events. It tries its best to provide the batch with much-needed and frequent breaks from the rigorous MBA curriculum. Students in this committee get to explore a cultural horizon that creates a sense of being together and a bond to achieve excellence!

IT COMMITTEE

IT COMMITTEE

It acts as an interface between participants facing IT-related issues and the IT administration of IIM Bodh Gaya. It takes care of the participant’s hardware and software requirements by installing licensed versions of software required for academic purposes by the participants and providing the necessary equipment operating at the physical layer or acting as a network interface for connectivity purposes. The members of this committee can also perform IP and other network-related troubleshooting at a basic level to help the participants facing connectivity issues. It provides IT-related support to the other clubs and committees when they organize events and guest lectures. It maintains a central sharing server, which helps the participants share the resources among themselves. It supports the participants while configuring or backing up their emails on their electronic devices.

IPM Committee

IIM Bodh Gaya is starting the 5-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) from the academic year 2021. IPM Committee aims to assist and ease out the admission process and holds the responsibility for all the communications regarding the IPM programme. The Committee actively works on the promotional aspects of the Programme to bring in the brightest of the minds in the institute to groom them for becoming the most effective and sustainable future managers, under the guidance of the highly qualified professors around the nation.

Treasures

Treasurers are an integral part of the Student Council of IIM Bodh Gaya. Treasurers carry a great responsibility of handling and managing the Student funds and ensuring transparency in the spending of the funds by the clubs and committees of IIM BG. It presides over the budget presented by the clubs and committees of IIM BG in General Body Meet, negotiates for optimal budget, and further approves it for the upcoming academic year. It collects the Student Fund and maintains it throughout the academic year. It disburses the funds as and when required by clubs and committees for student activities and maintains a record of spending, and ensures that the expenditure are within the budgeted funds and transparency in fund transfers to event winners and other related authorities.

Media & PR Cell

Media & PR Cell

The Media & PR Cell is responsible for handling the brand equity of the college, managing the doorway of external stakeholders. They act as a point of communication for the outer world. The committee came forward to be a helping hand for the various committees and clubs with the coverage of the events. The primary responsibilities of the Media & PR Cell are to cover the events organized by the institute, build the brand image of IIM Bodh Gaya, collaborate with different media houses, and amplify the activities and initiatives of the institute. In the last academic year, the committee has recorded some skyrocketing statistics in terms of social media reach, new initiatives, new collaborations, etc.

PGP committee

PGP committee

PGP committee is one of the most crucial committees in IIM BG as it acts as a bridge between students, various committees and clubs, and the college administration. PGP Committee actively coordinates & confronts all the issues of the students to the institute. From attendance issues to scarcity of notes, from academic queries to clashes of event schedules, it deals with all sorts of problems. It operates as a gateway for everyone and is reachable day in-day out. PGP committee proceeds with the notion of – we become stronger together & keeping this in mind, it encourages peer to peer learning to increase interaction amongst the students to form an everlasting bond. It has been working hard and ought to prevail in every sort of interpellation coming our way in the future.
